5.12.1 Hosts.nsm

The hosts.nsm file is created when the IBM Network Station Manager for AS/400 product is installed if the required TCP/IP configuration has been completed prior to loading product. The file is created in the configs sub-directory located down the ProdData path and contains data similar to that shown in Figure 34.

The required configuration data consists of relevant entries for the TCP/IP Host Table and Remote Name Server addresses.

The Host Table information is accessed through option 10 of the Configure TCP/IP (CFGTCP) menu on the AS/400 system. Option 13 on this same menu is used to access the Remote Name Server information.
